Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to photograph my newborn baby?

The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are 4-12 days old. After this time, newborn babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne can start to flare up. It is best to book as soon as possible to secure your booking. You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date. I will make a tentative booking and when you arrive home from the hospital with your baby you can contact me to arrange a suitable time and day for your session.

Where will the photography session be?

All newborn and sitter sessions will be held at my home studio in Evansville, Indiana. For family and maternity sessions outdoor location must be within 30 miles from my studio in Evansville. An extra charge of $.70/mile travel fee will apply if further than 30 miles.

How long does the newborn photography session take?

Newborn photography sessions can take 2-3 hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting. We want the newborn to be sleepy and comfortable. If rushed, you won’t get the best quality pictures that I want to provide for you.

What props do you have?

I have a wonderful variety of beautiful newborn photography props.

When do we receive our images?

Within 4-6 weeks, I will send you an online gallery to your email where you can download the final images.

How many images will I receive?

The number of images you receive will vary. I try to give you every picture that turns out great, meaning I won’t send you out-of-focus pictures. I think you have the right to have as many options to pick from.

Can I receive my images unedited or "RAW"

No. The editing that I do to your images is part of my artistic style & therefore I am unable to supply unedited files, as is the case with all respected professional photographers.

Do I receive all images taken on the day?

No. You will only receive all the images at once, or if I post sneak peaks but remember, the images lose their quality when you post them to social media. So, it would be best to wait until you receive all of the images I give you through the final link.

When and how do we have to pay?

Payment is required upon session date. Payment can be made by Venmo, PayPal, cash, or a check.
